When parents are engaged in their children's education in meaningful ways, there is a positive influence on academic performance.

As a result students

  • achieve higher grades

  • have better attendance

  • complete more homework

  • are more motivated to engage in school

  • are less likely to be cited for disciplinary action

Nothing is more important to success in schools than relationships between and among students, staff, and parents.

Parental Engagement Training for Teachers/Administrators

This one day professional development is presented in a highly interactive and engaging setting focusing on Hispanic parental engagement.  The goals are to walk away with innovative and best practice approaches which go beyond translating materials into their native language and hiring interpreters for their schools, etc.  The learning outcomes are intended to explore and identify techniques and approaches that increase parent communication, collaboration, and understanding.  Participants will begin to understand how to help Hispanic parents conceptualize and construct their role to support their children and the school.

Target Audience:

Elementary/Middle School Teachers/Administrators

Hispanic Parental engagement

For Hispanic parents, nothing is more important than family. However, Hispanic parents often lack knowledge of the U.S. educational system and the expectations of school personnel.  This custom, highly interactive, and informational session breaks down language barriers and communicates with Hispanic parents in their native Spanish language.  The intended outcomes are for Hispanic parents to begin understanding the importance of getting involved in their child’s education.

We work with the school or district to create a custom session based on their demographics, needs, and long term goals.

Target Audience:

Elementary/Middle School Hispanic Parents
